Discover a local children's author on Thursday, January 26 (10:00 AM - 12:00 noon) at the DeSoto Public Library! 

The "Princess Sky" book series teaches about loving everything about yourself, regardless of how others view you. "Patches" is written to teach others about a genetic disorder, and it also shows a little girl's self-confidence and acceptance of her differences.

AUTHOR BIO

Tam Curley published the first of the "Princess Sky" book series in Feburary 2021. She is a self-published author who began publishing children's books as a way to become familiar with the self-publishing process. Other experience includes copy editing and freelance writing. 

Tam has worked with children, first as a volunteer at a Head Start program in her home town, and later, as a pre-school teacher at a private daycare in Irving, Texas. Additionally, she worked with children in the Duncanville ISD (K-12) as a substitute teacher and currently volunteers at her daughter's school. 

It was only natural for Tam to write books for children!
