New police assistant chief

We would like to introduce our new police assistant chief who was promoted on Tuesday, March 15, 2022.
Assistant Chief R. Jesionek has been employed with the department since January 2004 and served in the United States Marine Corps Reserves from 1997 to 2003, reaching the rank of Corporal. He has served the department in every supervisory capacity from Corporal to Assistant Chief, and has worked in a supervisory capacity for both the patrol and support services. 
Asst. Chief R. Jesionek was recognized as DeSoto PD’s supervisor of the year in 2012. He is a graduate of the ILEA School of Police Supervision, and holds a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in psychology with a minor in anthropology from Texas A&M University (1996). He and his wife have been married for 17 years and have 5 children.
