BIO

I was born and raised in Mobile, Alabama and I currently reside in DeSoto, Texas, where I have lived for close to 35 years. I hold an Associate of Arts Degree that I received from Cedar Valley College after retiring as a contract worker at the Immigration Office in February of 2016. I am a divorcee with 3 kids, 11 grandkids and 6 great-grandkids. I enjoy being involved in my church and walking at least 3 times a week. 

I am a first-time author after writing the book "Fights of the African Americans." I was inspired to write this book during the George Floyd Incident. It hurt my heart to the core to witness how much hate still exists in the world today. This book is written to inform people of all races that after over hundreds of years; the antiquated ways of thinking should be diminished from their hearts and mind-set. It is my hope to encourage people with hate in their hearts to put the hate for other race of people aside and love one another. People should remove the negative rhetoric they have heard for most of their lives and start believing in themselves. I want to inspire and encourage all people to remove the fear from their hearts and minds as well and to follow their dreams, especially people of color. I want to empower them to think of themselves as kings and queens and know that they can do anything they put their minds to with hard work and dedication. I want to inform parents that affirmative and positive words are beneficial to their children which helps them to believe in themselves. 

Helping people is something that I have always wanted to do and I chose to write this book as a way of helping them realize some things they may not know. It is my hope that the information given will be a blessing to the readers.
