The Corner Theatre was initially constructed in 1996 following a City Council directive to develop a multi-use auditorium for the community's use. It is operated by the City of DeSoto.
Free parking for all Corner Theatre activities is available in the multi-level parking garage in Town Center. The garage can be accessed from Hampton Road or Pleasant Run Road. Once you've parked, exit the parking garage to the Town Center Courtyard and you'll see the Corner Theatre's green awning beckoning you to the theatre.

Production RentalThis hourly rate is used for the actual production rental.
Technical Day RentalThis daily rate is used for production set up and rehearsals.
Damage DepositA $100 damage deposit is required per contract. Damage deposits will be refunded to the signer of the contract within 4 weeks after the event, provided all policies were followed.
Technician SupportThis fee is for a technician to operate audio and/or lighting. A minimum of 4 hours is required.
Please Note: Full payment of damage deposit and rental charges are due at the time of booking your reservation.
At no time shall a user sublease or assign its reservation to another individual, group, or organization. Facility users are not allowed to swap spaces with other facility users.
Alcohol PolicyThe serving of alcoholic beverages for on-premise possession and consumption shall only be permitted at the DeSoto Civic Center and the Corner Theatre provided such service is authorized through a facility use rental agreement. The requestor must provide an approximate number of people expected to attend the event and comply with all city requirements for protection of the health, safety and welfare of the community. In cases of multiple requests, permits or facility use agreements shall be granted on a first come, first serve basis. If the Director determines that the conduct of the permitted activity requires additional security precautions be taken to permit the service of alcoholic beverages at the event, the Director shall impose a fee to defray the cost of furnishing adequate security forces by the city at the proposed event.
