Best Southwest Bookfest

The public libraries of DeSoto, Cedar Hill, Duncanville and Lancaster have always successfully collaborated, and each year they put on a Bookfestival -  last year ALA presenter and Malcolm X's daughter Ilyasah Shabazz was our keynote speaker. This year's keynote speaker is Bill Barnes, cartoonist, graphic artist and co-author of "unshelved"

The Bookfest will run from 9:00 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 18, 2015. This year the event will be taking place at the DeSoto Public Library.

There will be a publishing workshop presented by Michelle Stimpson from
9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.. The workshop is $ 15.00.

Partnership Cards:

The DeSoto Public Library & The Zula B. Wylie Public Library now offer
one card for customers that live in Cedar Hill or DeSoto to represent our lending partnership. Anyone who has one of these cards can check out items from both libraries. For more information please call 972.230.9665
