The weather is warming up, all the construction at Town Center is complete, the Amphitheater has a brand new shade cover and Creekfest is back! This free street festival includes food, children's activities and great entertainment.
A full schedule of entertainment will take place on the Outdoor Amphitheater stage, located behind the Civic Center along with food and vendor booths and living history demonstrations by the Buffalo Soldiers. The DeSoto Art League invites you to view their Juried Spring Art Show on display in DeSoto City Hall featuring the work of more than 100 Texas artists. Some Art League members will also host a 'plein aire' paint around demonstration which means that you can watch as they "paint in the air" throughout the day. Hampton Road Baptist Church is sponsoring the children's activities and will have two bounce houses, face painting and games for kids.
You'll want to bring a lawn chair and get a good spot to enjoy a full day of free entertainment as follows:

Organizations and Vendors
Community participation is the key to making this event a success. The City of DeSoto would like to invite your organization to be a part of this fun-filled event through active participation or financial support. Opportunities are available for community non-profit organizations for fund raising or to promote your organization. Local businesses can set up a booth to promote your products or services. We will also have an area for commercial vendors to sell their products. The booth fee for an information booth is $25, it is $45 for a craft or gift booth and $100 for a food booth which includes the $25 Health Inspection fee. All booths are 10' X 10'. Children’s Activities: The Children’s Area features bounce houses, face painting, games and more. Sponsored by Hampton Road Baptist Church.

Exhibitors
Exhibitors at Creekfest must provide their own equipment including tables, chairs, shade cover and electricity. Set-up will begin at 1 p.m. Exhibitors must be set up and ready to open to the public by noon and remain open until 7 p.m. On-site security will be provided by the DeSoto Police Department.
