Overview
- Comprised of seven members appointed by the City Council to serve for a two-year term with term limits of six years.
- Reviews Zoning Applications
- Reviews all subdivision plats within the city limits
- Makes recommendations to the City Council regarding zoning applications (Planned Developments, Specific Use Permits, Plats and Straight zoning).
- Makes recommendations to the City Council regarding other development policy or ordinances, such as changes to the Comprehensive Plan, Subdivision and Zoning Ordinances.
Meeting Schedule
The Planning and Zoning Commission meets the second and fourth Tuesday of each month at 7 p.m. in the City Council Chambers at City Hall. Special meetings may be called by the Chair or Vice-Chair in the Chair's absence.
