As part of its Black History Month celebration,
the DeSoto Public Library will show the movie “Selma, Lord, Selma,” a story set in 1965 when
a young girl is touched by a speech by Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and becomes a follower.

Let Freedom Ring
Monday,  Feb. 9 • 5:00pm • Teens ages 13-18

As part of its Black History Month celebration,
teens are invited to participate in a drama written by Dennis Raveneau, Artistic Director of CrossOver Arts Theatre. “Let Freedom Ring” unites Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.’s historic speech with poetry by African American poets. This program is sponsored by the DeSoto Public Library’s Teen Advisory Board (TAB).
