Dear Residents of DeSoto,
I hope this letter finds you well. It is with great pleasure and excitement that I extend a warm welcome to you on behalf of the entire DeSoto community. As we embark on the journey of the 2024 DeSoto Artist Lab Residency Program, we are thrilled to introduce our talented cohort of artists who will be joining us in our city.
This year, we are honored to welcome Randi L. Betts, Nicole Dane, Yolanda Hanspard, Kassondra Jones, Jennifer Kindert and Chelita McDuffie as our resident artists. These remarkable individuals were selected from a pool of highly talented applicants for their creativity, passion, and commitment to their craft. We are confident that their unique perspectives and artistic talents will enrich our community and inspire us all.
Throughout their residency, our artists will be working on a variety of projects, collaborating with local organizations, schools, and community members, and engaging with the residents of DeSoto in meaningful and impactful ways. From visual art installations to performances, workshops, and community events, there will be no shortage of opportunities to experience the vibrancy and creativity of our resident artists.
