Come enjoy a free movie at the library! The library will be showing "Mildred Pierce", a 1945 film. Joan Crawford won an Academy Award as a spurned housewife struggling to care for her two daughters: a loveable tomboy and a scheming, social-climbing teen who almost drives her to ruin. 

Based on the 1941 novel by James M. Cain, this film was selected for preservation in the United States Library of Congress National Film Registry in 1996. This film is rated TV-PG.
