In celebration of Black History Month, the DeSoto Public Library is hosting the 3rd annual “Saluting Black Achievements” program. The theme for 2020 is “The Enduring Spirit of the Harlem Renaissance.” This program will explore the African American cultural revolution of the 1920’s and 1930’s that influenced the entire nation. Activities will include performances, workshops, and hands-on projects featuring music, art, and literature of the Harlem Renaissance. This event is free and open to all ages.
