 Education and Training Information

Food Manager Certification and Food Handler training classes are required by ordinance and provided regularly for food service workers. Food Manager Certifications are valid for five (5) years, and Food Handler cards are good for three (3) years. 
 
Pool School is required for commercial pool operators and is provided by the City each year before pool season.

Basic Food Handler classes are offered the third Tuesday each month at 4 p.m. in the DeSoto Civic Center. The cost is $10.
