Kristine Clark, Place Three Councilmember, was elected to DeSoto City Council on May 11, 2013.  Councilmember Clark and her husband, Scott have lived in DeSoto since 1999. Ms. Clark has been blessed with two step-daughters, Kristin and Olivia who have grown into beautiful young adults.

 Ms. Clark owns KRC Engineering, Inc., a structural engineering firm and is a graduate of Virginia Tech with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering.  Ms. Clark is a Registered Professional Engineer, licensed in the state of Texas as well as 10 other states; and is a member of Structural Engineering Association of Texas.  As a small business owner, Ms. Clark is familiar with budgets, proposals, contracts and financials. As an engineer, Ms. Clark listens, researches, and discusses the problem before making decisions. As a City Council Representative, Ms. Clark will use this experience and these same skills to make good business decisions regarding the citizens of DeSoto.

 Councilmember Clark is a member of Hope Lutheran Church in Cedar Hill and volunteers in the Heart of Texas Therapy Dog Program along with her dog, Chloe. Ms. Clark has been a volunteer for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's First Connection program for over 10 years as well as a fundraiser/participate in Light the Night walks and the ACS Relay for Life. Ms. Clark may be familiar to some since she has worked the Early Voting election polls for the past few years in DeSoto.

 Councilmember Clark will continue to make the effort to engage the DeSoto citizens through email and social media. Ms. Clark will ask tough questions of others, answer the tough questions from the citizens and will speak the truth to help make the best possible decisions for the city. Ms. Clark's goal is to honorably represent this wonderful City, be the voice of the people at the table and expects to be held accountable by its citizens. Ms. Clark is interested in hearing from all the citizens about their views and opinions to make our City better. With a humble heart, Councilmember Clark is looking forward to this new adventure in serving the citizens of DeSoto.
