New Engine at Station 263

    In January of 2016 DeSoto Fire Rescue took delivery of a new fire engine. It is a 2015 Spartan ERV pumper with a 1,500 gallon per minute pump. Additional features include airbags, light tower, insta-chains, aluminum hose bed covers, hydraulic generator, pac trac tool mounting system, and full complement of LED emergency lighting. At a cost of $569,000 the engine will serve as a front line unit for 10 years followed by 10 years of reserve service.
