2nd Quarter Update April 2022
The Historical Foundation was not able to achieve a quorum to conduct business in Q2. After a presentation to the City Council, staff was directed to develop reformation options to be considered. An RFQ was issued to solicit additional responses for a firm to update the Nance Farm Master Plan to include its use as a destination for the arts in DeSoto. The action was tabled by the City Council until a meeting in May 2022.
1st Quarter Update January 2022
The City Council acted to set a meeting of the Historical Foundation for the second week of January 2022, at which a quorum was not achieved. The City Council will be presented with options for revision to the purpose of the Historical Foundation in February 2022. Only one response was received to the RFQ solicitation for the Nance Farm Master Plan. Staff is consideration reopening the solicitation, which would delay the process by approximately two months.
