CARES Act Guide for Small Business & Entrepreneurship
To help small business owners and entrepreneurs better understand the new programs that will soon be available, the U.S. Senate Committee on Small Business & Entrepreneurship has created a comprehensive guide to many of the provisions in the CARES Act that was passed by Congress on March 27.

Since 1953, the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) has worked to ignite change and spark action so small businesses can confidently start, grow, expand, or recover. Coronavirus (COVID-19) business guidance and loan resources are available through their site.
The IRS Small Business and Self-Employed Tax Center provides business tax resources for small businesses (with assets under $10 million) and taxpayers filing selected business-related forms. The Coronavirus Tax Relief page includes information on economic impact payments, guidance, and more.
The Small Business Development Center (SBDC) is the largest management assistance program serving the business sector in the United States.This North Texas site contains resources on supporting your small business during COVID-19, including Economic Injury Disaster Loans (EIDL).
This organization has connected several resources to help businesses and economic development in Texas, including an FAQ for Texas businesses, information for specific industries such as restaurants and creative arts, and more.
The WBC is dedicated to supporting business owners, especially women and minorities, through business education and business consulting. Services include individual business counseling, business accelerators, and more. They are offering a LiftFund COVID-19 loan to assist small businesses during this time. Keep updated with the latest through their blog or newsletter.
The DeSoto EDC is working closely with local, state and federal partners, and provides a frequently-updated resource guide for small businesses affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. Sections are available to quickly access a wide variety of employer, financial, regulatory, local & other resources.

The Small Business Reference Center provides up to date information on relevant topics from starting a company, operations management and sales to growing or rescuing a business. The database contains nearly 400 full-text periodicals and over 450 full-text reference books. The user-friendly interface guides through small business and entrepreneurial subject areas, common business types, a help and advice section, and provides information on how to create business plans that lead to successful funding. Business videos provide critical information for business owners: Interviews, ‘lessons learned’ features, lectures and ‘how to’ videos help foster success in all aspects of managing a business.
