Isom Cameron is the Managing Director of Public Utilities. In this capacity, Cameron oversees all activities related to water and wastewater service delivery. These activities include Water Distribution, Water Maintenance, Wastewater Collection, Wastewater System Maintenance, Meter Reading, Utility Billing, and Customer Service. Isom began his career with the City of DeSoto in 2007, as the Water Superintendent. In 2011, Isom became the City of DeSoto’s first Director of Public Utilities. Prior to coming to the City of DeSoto, Isom worked for the City of Jackson, Mississippi for over 15 years, advancing through the ranks from Water Plant Operator to Water Plant Operations Manager. Isom earned a Bachelor of Business Administration from Jackson State University and a Master of Business Administration from the Richard DeVos School of Management at Northwood University.
